The Cairo TV Tower stands in the southern Zamalek District on Jezeera Island. The structure, 187 meters high, was built in 1961. The concrete tower has an original oriental design. At its top there is a revolving restaurant, a cafe and an observation deck. The TV tower looks especially impressive at night due to its illumination.
