The Cairo citadel is a huge castle built in the capital of Egypt by Saladin, one of the symbols of the city, now it is a large museum complex.
Here are the National Military Museum, the National Police Museum, the Chariot Museum, the Bijou Guest Palace (Al-Gowhar Palace); mosques: Nasir Kalauna, Suleiman Pasha, Ali Mohammed (the Citadel of Mohammed Ali is also sometimes called by her name).
We were brought here during the excursion to the Pyramids. Was the first stop after a long journey from Hurghada to Cairo. I wanted coffee and snacks. It was cold. Entrance to the fortress - paid, not included in the tour. We wandered around, breathed in the air. We admired the fortress and soon moved on. I think this attraction can be well seen if the tour is not for 1 day. Well, there just isn't enough time.→
