A visit to the Tallinn TV tower or "Teletorn" in Estonian is undoubtedly quite an interesting event. Let's face it, it's not every day that you have the opportunity to climb to a height of more than 175 meters and in just 49 seconds! Everything here is beautifully and tastefully arranged: the scoreboard in the elevator rapidly measures altitude meters, space-like information screens on bending plastic legs, and accidentally stepping on a barely noticeable pedal that opens a glass window in the floor, you can recharge your adrenaline for a year ahead, looking at the one leaving the - under the feet of the ground. In order to get to the open observation deck, you need to climb a small ladder from the exhibition hall to a cafe-restaurant, which, by the way, is quite nice both in design and in prices. That, in fact, is all the standard entertainment that the Tallinn "Teletorn" offers.
However, if you are a fan of extreme sports, then for a very reasonable fee you can walk along the edge of the tower with special insurance (21 euros), or go down from it on a rope (49 euros), and if you have enough skill, you can even make a parachute jump (by the way, we caught the visit of such daredevils - the sight is not a pleasant one). If such entertainment is alien to you, and the weather outside will be damp and cloudy and beautiful views will not delay you on the tower, then it is unlikely that the time spent here will drag on for more than half an hour, because there is, by and large, nothing to do on the TV tower. A trip to the Tallinn TV Tower can be safely combined with a trip to the Botanical Garden, which is located literally at its foot. By the way, at the Telethorn box office you can buy a combined ticket for visiting the tower and the botanical garden for 11 euros, in this case you will save 50 cents, because a separate ticket for the TV tower costs 8 euros, and a ticket for the botanical garden costs 3.50 euros.
Tip: you should not visit the Tallinn TV Tower on weekends, at this time there is a large influx of tourist groups that skip the line both at the ticket office and at the elevators. Thus, the time spent waiting in line will certainly exceed the time spent visiting Telethorn. The Tallinn TV Tower is open all year round and daily from 10 am to 7 pm. From the city center to the TV tower you can take buses 34A, 38 (stop "Teletorn").
