Denmark, Copenhagen
The Louisiana Museum is located in the city of Humlebaek, which is located 35 kilometers north of Copenhagen. It is housed in the former estate of Alexander Brun, the royal huntsman. Three of his wives bore the name Louise, whence the estate got its nickname. The museum itself was founded in 1958. It presents collections of paintings and sculptures of the twentieth century, including works by such masters as Picasso, Warhol, Lichtenstein, Kiefer, Klein and others.
