Church of Saint Sebald

Sebalduskirche, St. Sebaldus Church, St. Sebaldus Kirche
Germany, Nuremberg
St. Sebald's Church is the oldest Catholic church in Nuremberg. Its construction began in the 1230s. The church was built in the Gothic style, but subsequently the centuries-old history made its own adjustments to the appearance of the building: both in the interior and in the exterior of the church, you can see touches of various architectural styles. The Church of St. Sebald is considered a Lutheran parish church.

The oldest church in the city (13th century). Named after the patron saint of Nuremberg. The most valuable in the church are the relics of St. Sebald. Included in the classic Nuremberg sightseeing route. If you intend to visit only one of the city's churches - let it be the church of St. Sebald. The entrance is free.
