The Alte Pinakothek is an art gallery that is one of the most famous galleries in the world. It presents the works of masters of the Middle Ages until the middle of the XVIII century.
About 700 paintings are presented in 19 halls and 49 rooms of the museum as part of the permanent exhibition. A distinctive feature of this museum is the absence of sculptures, graphics or applied arts and antique furniture among the exhibits; only paintings are on its walls and stands.
