wedding house

Celebration House, Hochzeitshaus, Wedding House
Germany, Hameln
The wedding house is a building in the Weser Renaissance style, built in the 17th century for celebrations. The house is located at the beginning of Osterstraße, close to Saint Nicholas Church and Dempter House. Three times a day, to the sound of bells, a mechanical puppet show is played on the facade of the house, telling the legend of the rat-catcher. Once more a day, the bells sing "The Pied Piper's Song" and "The Song of the River Weser" without visual accompaniment. Near the Wedding House, you can often meet street musicians in themed costumes entertaining residents and guests of Hemeln.

The Hochzeitshaus or Wedding House was built in the 17th century in the style of the Weser Renaissance for special occasions. At first it was used as a banquet hall, then the court sat here, then a wine cellar and a pharmacy were located. Three times a day at 13-05.15-35 and 17-35 on the pediment of the house, to the chime of bells, puppet figures clearly demonstrate the most popular urban legend about the Pied Piper. Address: Osterstrabe 2
