The Leisthaus was built in the Weser Renaissance style in the 16th century for the family of a wealthy local merchant. In the niche of the dormer window there is a figure of Lucretia (a Roman woman who became famous for her beauty and virtue). Now the building houses the city museum of Hameln. Address: Osterstrabe 8-9. For those wishing to visit the museum itself, the entrance ticket costs 5 euros (2015 price)
