Grüneburg Park is laid out on the spot where the banker von Bethmann-Metzler's country house, the Green Castle, was located, destroyed during the Second World War. In 2007, a memorial plaque depicting the palace was installed here. The park, with an area of 29 hectares, is located in one green area next to the palm garden
Palmengarten and the Botanical Garden. This is a popular place for summer holidays among Frankfurters. During the warm season, the park cafe Schonhof is open here, famous for its wide selection of pies with various fillings.
On the eastern border of the park is the Korean Garden, a gift from the Republic of Korea on the occasion of the visit of its delegation to the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2005. The 4800 sqm garden is divided into four sections representing the four natural seasons. Among the cascading waterfalls, pines and bamboo, two pavilions in the national style are located on picturesque glades.
