Bode Museum

Bode-Museum, Bode Museum, Wilhelm von Bode Museum
Germany, Berlin
The Bode Museum is a museum complex located in the north of the Spreinsel Island in Berlin. It was named after the German artist Arnold Wilhelm von Bode. The expositions of the museum are thematically placed in several exhibition halls. The "Museum of Byzantine Art" contains works of art from the Roman and Byzantine empires. The Collection of Sculptures hall contains the largest collection of works by European masters, and the Coin Cabinet holds more than 500,000 coins, medals and seals from the 7th century BC.

This is an art museum that houses exhibitions of Byzantine art and the mint. It used to be called the name of Kaiser Friedrich. The museum was very unusually organized. The halls of the museum were previously rooms, entering which the visitor felt like visiting the owner of the castle. The rooms were furnished with art and antiquities. Until now, art historians have been arguing among themselves whether it is worth organizing museums this way, from this the Bode Museum does not become less popular).
