Oberbaumbrücke bridge

Oberbaumbrucke
Germany, Berlin
The Oberbaumbrücke is a bridge connecting the banks of the Spree River in Berlin. It is located in the administrative district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Over the years, famous architects Otto Shtan and Santiago Calatrava worked on its external appearance. The bridge was built of red brick on two levels in the Neo-Gothic style. In 1995, a large-scale reconstruction was carried out, and the bridge was reopened. A subway line was launched along its upper level, and a motorway and a pedestrian crossing were launched on its lower level.

This two-level bridge over the Spree River in Berlin is considered one of the city's landmarks. The bridge links the urban areas of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, which were separated by the Berlin Wall. The bridge is beautiful, but it’s not worth going here specifically to look at it, there are many other wonderful places in Berlin.
