In the Tiergarten area, the famous Berlin Zoo is spread over an area of 35 hectares. It was opened in 1844 and at the present time an amazing number of animal species have been collected here. In the open enclosures and exotic pavilions of the zoo, you can get acquainted with many rare animals, in the rescue of which the zoo takes an active part. Adjacent to it is a huge three-story aquarium where you can see various types of tropical fish, sharks, as well as crabs, jellyfish, turtles, crocodiles, lizards, snakes and insects. In the Berlin Zoo, each of the animals received a corner similar to their habitat in the wild. It also houses several restaurants and a gift shop. This corner of nature is worth allocating a whole day to visit it.
