The main synagogue of the Prague Jewish community has a long history. Worship services have been held here for over 700 years. It is the oldest functioning synagogue in Europe. The building is small in size, with a minimum of architectural ornaments. According to legend, it is in the attic of this synagogue that the body of the Golem is kept - a clay giant created by Rabbi Leo to protect the Jews. The stairs to the attic are now dismantled, there are only brackets on the back wall of the synagogue.→
