Sculpture Horse

Inverted Horse, David the Black
Czech republic, Prague
The sculpture "Horse" is the most famous work of the artist David Cherny. The sculpture was created in 1999 and depicts the Czech prince St. Wenceslas, sitting on a dead upside down horse. For some time, the inverted Horse was ironically placed on Wenceslas Square opposite the monument to St. Vaclav by the sculptor Josef Myslbek. Now the sculpture of David Cherny can be seen in the passage of the Lucerne shopping center.

David Cerny - architect, sculptor, provocateur. His work certainly does not leave anyone indifferent. The equestrian monument to St. Wenceslas became the subject of parody. Initially, the hooligan monument was intended for the new building of the Heads. post office. But the management of the post office rejected the project, considering it too defiant. The sculpture "Horse" is located in the shopping arcade of Lucerne. Access is free.
