Near the upper pond in the garden my attention was drawn to a very unusual column. As it turned out, it has been known since 1686. The column was commissioned by the Old Town Councilor Jiri Jan Reisman. On a prismatic quadrangular base a round column ending in a quadrangular top with a cross. Each face represents bas-reliefs - Jesus Christ, Saints Sebastian, Roch and Rosalie. Three bas-reliefs are sundials at the same time, and the role of the clock hand is performed by a spear in the body of Christ, an arrow in the body of St. Sebastian and the staff in the hands of St. Roha. Saints Rosalia, Roch and Sebastian are also considered protectors against infectious diseases, so this column is also called the plague column.

In 1895, the column was moved to an ancient Czech village at an ethnographic exhibition, and after its completion was installed near the railway station in Smikhov. In the early 20th century, the column was installed in the Horse Garden.
