Prague Metronome

Prague Metronome
Czech republic, Prague
In 1991, in Prague, for the duration of the General Czechoslovak Exhibition, it was decided to put a giant metronome on the old pedestal on the site of the Stalin monument. According to the idea of the author, architect Vratislav Karel Novak, the movement of the metronome 24 meters high over Prague was to emphasize the inexorability of the passage of time. The length of the rod was 20 meters. According to the original plan, the metronome was to be dismantled at the end of the exhibition, but then the city authorities decided to leave the attraction. The place is a favorite vacation spot for Prague skateboarders.

I went up to the Metronome for the views of Prague. Therefore, this is more a review about Letensky gardens (Letensk? sady) with Metron in the load : ) A huge park recreation area near the Prague Castle. Perhaps at other times of the year the gardens make a more spectacular impression, but in December they were perceived more than calmly.
