The Prague City Museum is dedicated to the history of Prague. The museum has the richest collection of everyday items and household items of Praguers living here in different centuries. According to them, one can trace the development of the culture of the Czech capital and how social relations developed in it. Furniture, jewelry, clothes, maps, photographs, weapons, ancient tools and much more make up the historical and artistic heritage of the museum.
The museum presents a unique exhibit - a model of Prague, created by Longweil in the first half of the 19th century. For 20 sq. m houses the streets, squares and lanes of the city 150 years ago, and all the models of buildings are made with historical accuracy and are a three-dimensional image of palaces, mansions, temples, town halls and bridges that exist today and have already disappeared from the map of the city.
The Prague City Museum offers its visitors various interactive programs to get to know the exhibits, there is also a small cinema hall where a 5-minute 3D film about the past of Prague is shown.
