The square in Hradč any, whose name means "ashtray". The houses on the square first burned down in 1420, and then the area burned down several more times. The central part of the square is decorated with a monument to St. John of Nepomuk. Ancient palaces and houses with various house signs once belonged to wealthy citizens. The houses on the south side stand close to the wall of the Strahov Monastery. The largest building enclosing the square is a late 19th century barracks with a large clock.→
