The Petrinja Tower was built on the hill of the same name in Prague at an altitude of 324 meters above sea level at the suggestion of the Czech Tourist Club after visiting the World's Fair in Paris in 1889 and is similar to the Eiffel Tower. Construction work began on March 16.1891, and on August 20 the grand opening of the tower on Petrshina took place. In 1953, a television antenna was installed on the Petrshina Tower, and the height of the tower thus increased by another 20 meters. It was the first television repeater in the Czech Republic.→
