The Mirror Labyrinth was first erected as a pavilion of the Czech Tourist Club at the 1891 Prague Jubilee Regional Exhibition. It was built by Prague master carpenter Matej Bilek according to the project of architect Antonin Villa. The prototype of the pavilion was probably a mirror labyrinth in the Prater in Vienna. Two years later, the building was moved to Petrshin Hill, next to the observation tower. The building is an attempt to recreate the Gothic gates of Visegrad called Spychka, which were built by Charles IV in the second half of the 14th century.→
