This is a special place on the Old Town Square, which is revered by Prague residents and all Czechs, who cherish the independence of their state. 27 white crosses on the pavement indicate that on June 21.1621, 27 leaders of the uprising against the Habsburg dynasty were executed here. Nobles and knights were beheaded, burghers were hanged. Their list is on a copper plaque - next to the wall of the town hall. Below are the symbols of swords, crowns of thorns and the date of execution. This place was first marked in 1904, when the entire area was paved.→
