Church of St. Martin in the wall

Church of Saint Martin in the Wall
Czech republic, Prague
One of the oldest churches in Prague is located in the central part of the city. It was built at the end of the 12th century. Due to frequent restructuring, it has an irregular shape. It got its name - "in the wall" - after it began to adjoin one of the fortress walls built around the Old Town in the 13th century. True, the wall was later demolished, but the name stuck. Initially, the church was built in the Romanesque style, but in the middle of the XIV century it acquired the Gothic style. From 1784 to 1904, the church served as a warehouse and store until it was bought by the city's community. Currently, the religious building belongs to the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren.

After unification with the city, the church received its name - St.

One of them was Ujezd, a small settlement directly opposite Visegrad, on the right bank of the Vltava. The county had a patron saint, St.
