Sculpture Kamzik
Statue of Chamois, Kamzik
Czech republic, Karlovy Vary
One of the symbols of the Karlovy Vary resort is a sculpture of chamois (Kamzik) mounted on a rock called the Deer Leap.
The first zinc statue appeared here in 1851. However, vandals tried to destroy the work. In 1986, a local sculptor Jan Kotek created an exact copy already in bronze.
From the top of the Deer Jump, which can be reached on foot or by cable car, offers a beautiful view of the city.
