Orthodox Church of Peter and Paul
Pravoslavny kostel svatého Petra a Pavla, St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church
Czech republic, Karlovy Vary
The dominant and outstanding landmark of the West End is the Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, which was built in 1897.
The construction was carried out with the money of the Russians who came here. In the temple you can see two valuable icons donated by the future Russian Emperor Nicholas II. The church is a true copy of classical Byzantine buildings. It was built according to the project of academician Ukhtomsky by the architect Gustav Wiederman from the city of Frantiskovy Lazne.
