Aphrodite's Rock is located near Paphos. According to legend, it was in this place that the goddess of love and beauty Aphrodite emerged from the sea.

The rock itself is called Petra tou Romiou, which means “rock of the Greek”. According to legend, it was here that the hero Digenis threw huge boulders into the sea, trying to sink the ships of the invaders.

Birthplace of Aphrodite
We visited this beach as part of the tour "Heart of Cyprus". It was not possible to swim, because it was a little stormy, but it was just right to take a walk and get our feet wet. The place is beautiful, large boulders in the sea, the water is azure. There are a lot of cats in a cafe near the beach, like everywhere else in Cyprus))→
