The most interesting natural attraction of Larnaca is the Salt Lake, 5 km from the city. According to legend, St. Lazarus turned a man into a lake who refused to give him a bunch of grapes. In winter, flocks of pink flamingos fly to the lake.

We were on the lake in August, a very interesting place. Such unearthly landscapes. They also hit when the sun was already setting, the pictures are excellent!→

revived fairy tale
We were lucky to see flamingos at the Salt Lake a few times. The lake and birds are clearly visible on the way to and from the airport. We lived in Larnaca, not far from the lake, willingly walked near it. But during the walks the birds were far away, there were few of them near us. But when we were driving to the airport, we saw large flocks of flamingos, they were nearby, they were well illuminated by the sun. With them were other, colorful birds, which well set off the fabulous, as if drawn, white and pink flamingos.→
