Cape Greco

Capo Greco, Capo Greco, Capo Greco, Cape Greco
Cyprus, Ayia Napa
Cape Greco in the southeastern part of the island of Cyprus is the southern end of Famagusta Bay and the eastern end of Ayia Napa Bay.

The cape is located between the popular tourist areas of Ayia Napa and Protoras. Famous for its rocky coastline with clear water, it is popular with lovers of diving, snorkeling and spearfishing. According to local legend, the Ayia Napa monster lives in the waters around Cape Greco. Birds rest on the cape during their flight across the sea.

On the territory of the municipality of Ayia Napa on Cape Greco is the state forest park "Cavo Greco". As part of the park development project, viewing platforms, a picnic area, special hiking and cycling trails for nature lovers, and a tourist information office were created.

In ancient times, the temple of Aphrodite was located in the park. A hiking trail leads to it.

Cape Greco is a natural attraction that everyone should see! Unrealistically beautiful landscapes, especially at sunset. It is also good to rent a quad and ride around the park.

Looking at beautiful photos of tourists, this miracle was the main thing I wanted to see on about. Cyprus. We took a boat trip. And what was our disappointment when we saw just a steep, rocky coast. Several caves and a very disgusting view of the very rock-arch "bridge of love". Photo (beautiful) also did not work ( I think you need to see and photograph this miracle only from the shore.

Sea caves near Ayia Napa. This place is a must see if you are in Cyprus. Nature has created a miracle, blowing winds and washing waters over a rocky bay for thousands of years: cliffs and grottoes of bizarre shapes and emerald water make an amazing impression.

Very nice place, beautiful sea views. There are hiking trails, viewing platforms with benches. This is a national park, although during our stay, the park itself was sparse, the vegetation is low and dried up, perhaps the situation is different in winter and spring. We lived in Protaras, got to the cape by bus, but you still have to walk to the beautiful views from the bus stop. In principle, it is not difficult for an average adult, especially since there are places to rest along the way. In addition to tourists on rented cars, we also saw cyclists, in general, you can get there in different ways.

Idyllic place. We sat in a cafe and ate delicious food while enjoying the place and time. I definitely recommend visiting. It's really beautiful and peaceful there. If you want to swim, you need to be confident in your abilities, because the entrance to the water is only from stones - you need to jump. Of my family, only I bathed, my wife did not want to, and I did not let the children go.
