The Mausoleum of Mao Zedong is the mausoleum of one of the founders and longtime leader of the CCP and China, Mao Zedong. Built in 1976-77 in the central part of Tiananmen Square in Beijing, south of the Monument to the People's Heroes. One of the four currently operating mausoleums of the former leaders of the socialist countries.
