The Chinese Museum of Science and Technology is located next to the main Olympic Stadium and is dedicated to the achievements of Chinese science from ancient China to the present day. The museum is divided into 4 parts: one showcases the latest technologies and inventions (in energy, transport, aviation, mechanical engineering, biology, medicine, ecology, information technology and space industry); the other presents the achievements of Chinese scientists in a historical digression; in the third there are 4 high-tech cinemas; and the fourth is an amusement park for children with educational attractions. Many exhibits and exhibitions in the museum are interactive, there are workshops and laboratories for experiments. Quite often, seminars, temporary thematic exhibitions, film demonstrations and other popular science events are held here.
