Yuexiu Park is the city's central park. It covers an area of 94 hectares, on which a variety of plants grow, and there are also three picturesque artificial lakes connected by bridges. The park has many sculptures, the main of which is the statue of the Five Goats, the symbol of the city. Yuexu is also appreciated by outdoor enthusiasts: there is a stadium for 30,000 seats, swimming pools and gyms. The park is a traditional venue for city holidays, and exhibitions of chrysanthemums are also held here.
