This is a unique covered bridge, it is believed that it is the oldest of all in Europe. It was built as part of the city fortifications. Now it connects the old city with new quarters. Once the bridge was very badly damaged by fire, but later it was completely restored. When walking along this bridge, do not forget to look up - along the bridge, under the very roof, you can see triangular paintings depicting the most important moments in the history of Switzerland.
