In Lucerne, a section of the medieval wall with high towers has been preserved. Each of the towers has its own design and name. Three of them are open for inspection, but we did not get there, because we walked near the wall late in the evening. To see the inside of the wall, one has to go through the tower arch. One can only imagine how impressive these walls were during the Middle Ages. Today you will not find anything impressive there, except for a panoramic view of the city, the lake and the mountains surrounding it.→
