The Limmatquai is a street along the east bank of the
River Limmat that runs through the historic center of Zurich. It starts from Bellevueplatz and ends at the Bahnhofbrücke bridge. The buildings along this street are located only on one side, so walking along it you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Limmat River and the panorama of the right bank of Zurich. The southern section of the embankment is the most interesting, as the
Grossmünster Cathedral and
City Hall are located there. The old houses on Limmatquai Street now house various restaurants, cafes and shops.
