Lake Zurich is one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland. Its area is 88 sq. m and is located at an altitude of 409 m between the cantons of Zurich, St. Gallen and
Schwyz. The lake has a crescent shape - it is elongated for 40 km, as well as two islands - Lutselau and Ufenau. Today, Lake Zurich is a popular holiday destination for locals and visiting guests: here you can often see bohemians, wealthy people, divers, yachtsmen, hikers and just vacationers with children. Often, tourists make exciting cruises on the lake on modern boats or on two rare paddle steamers from 1909 and 1914 to admire the lake views and picturesque shores. Around the lake there are small villages with national chalets, small towns with ancient cathedrals and houses, several castles and private luxurious mansions.
