Sasso Corbaro Castle belongs to the group of fortifications of Bellinzona. It was founded at the end of the 15th century and is located on a high rocky hill. In the Middle Ages, the building was used as a garrison, then as a prison. In 2000, Sasso Corbaro, along with Montebello and Castelgrande, was inscribed on the World Heritage List UNESCO.
