The National Ethnographic Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences has been located in the former Prince's Palace since 1954. The museum contains more than 50,000 exhibits of folk crafts, traditions, beliefs and life of Bulgaria from the 17th century. until the middle of the twentieth century. are traditional Bulgarian clothes, woodcarving, ceramics, musical instruments, carpets, furniture, agricultural tools, folk customs and much more. Among the exhibits of the museum, it is worth noting the collection of Bulgarian embroidery, household utensils, painted Easter eggs, items of wedding and other folk rites and traditions.
