Being in the city center, this church is impossible not to notice! I am always surprised by the attitude of the Bulgarians to their religious values - among modern buildings, asphalt, glass and concrete, there is such a monument to another era. Right in the middle of the avenue : ) Not only that, it is also a functioning medieval temple! It was discovered during excavations only after World War II. The temple is dedicated to St. Paraskeva, in Bulgarian Petka. And the Samardzhian Petka is because she is from this people who lived here in the Middle Ages.→
