European Parliament building in Brussels
Parlamentum Europaeum, Parlamentarium, Building of the European Parliament, Parlement Européen
Belgium, Brussel
The building of the European Parliament, thanks to its height and modern design, stands out on the skyline of Brussels. It is located on Luxembourg Square. The main building of the European Parliament is a futuristic palace designed in the style of postmodern architecture. The structure has a streamlined design, and the transparent facade is made of glass and steel. A 12-meter sculpture "Heart of Europe" is installed in front of the building. The Citadel of European Democracy hosts the European Parliament Visitors Center, where they will talk about the European Union and its role in the everyday life of Europeans completely free of charge; as well as about the European Parliament, its work, structure and participants. The center has many multimedia displays, interactive screens and devices that allow you to see in detail the work of the European Parliament. Media guides in all 24 languages of the Eurozone provide information and show short films about the EU at every stage of the visit to the Parliament.
