The richest collections are gathered in the halls of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts - different eras, big names, many styles and trends are represented here. Its museum collections began to form at the end of the 18th century, Napoleon and the royal persons of the Netherlands and Belgium were involved in them. Today, this museum complex includes several organizations located in Brussels (Museum of Modern Art,
Museum of Ancient Art, End of the Century Museum, Rene Magritte Museum) and its suburb of Ixelles (Antoine Wirtz Museum and Constantin Meunier Museum). Here are collected ancient statues and paintings of the XIV-XIX centuries, as well as works by contemporary Belgian and French artists and sculptors of the XX-XXI centuries.
