Canals of Bruges

Ghent Canal, Sluis Canal, Ostend Canal
Belgium, Brugge
Due to its deep canals, Bruges is often referred to as the "Venice of the North". The Ghent, Sluis and Ostend canals join inside the city. 54 bridges were laid through them, of which 12 were wooden and drawbridges for the passage of ships.

Bruges received its unofficial name "Northern Venice" for the picturesque views that open from the embankments of the three canals - Ostend, Sluys and Ghent. Once upon a time, large ships sailed through these canals, today mainly pleasure boats and small boats sail here. If you want to look at the canals from the "water", as well as see everything that is hidden from our view during a walk, then there is the opportunity to ride along the canals on a boat. The tour lasts 30 minutes (there is no Russian language), the cost is 8 euros.
