Hermann van Wagemaker, the architect of the Cathedral in Antwerp, had a hand in the construction of a building of a completely opposite direction - the House of Butchers. Such a strict everyday Gothic, similar to a fleshy piece of ham - this is the impression that the alternation of white and red stone in the facade of the building creates. The purpose of the house, at one time, was not limited to the sale of meat, on its upper floors there were rooms for business councils and celebrations. Today it houses the Museum of History, Archeology and Applied Arts.→
