The Rocks Historic District is located on the south shore of Sydney Harbour. Construction here began in 1788, when the first English colonists arrived in Australia. The buildings were built mostly from local rock sandstone, from which the area got its name - "The Rocks", and the narrow streets of the Rocks quarter converge at the
Harbor Bridge. The "Rocks" area is one of the main places for tourists to visit. Fashion boutiques, art galleries, museums and exhibition centers are located here. From here you have a beautiful view of the harbor.
