The main decoration of the square is a pool with a sculpture depicting the moment of taming a horse. Behind the monument is a wall painted with frescoes - this building, built in 1695, once served as a bath for court horses. The square itself is named after the conductor Herbert von Karajan. Near the square there is another noteworthy object - the Sigmundstor tunnel, which connects the center of the Old Town with the Riedenburg district. The tunnel was cut into the Mö nchsberg mountain and is one of the oldest road tunnels in Europe (1764-1767).→
