From the very beginning, the Vienna Concert Hall was distinguished by a variety of programs: in 1913 it was inaugurated with a gala concert in the presence of Emperor Franz Joseph I. The Vienna Concert Society performed a modern commissioned work by Richard Strauss and then Beethoven's 9th Symphony. And today this combination of modern, classical and international music leaves its mark on the musical repertoire. From year to year, the Concert House hosts popular festivals with dedicated fan clubs.→
