Large beautiful cathedral. From the outside it is impressive in size, but inside it is simply and modestly decorated. Very beautiful tiled roof. A good panoramic view of the city from the South Tower (the one that is lower), from the North is also good, but a very narrow gap that you need to peer into

I visited the cathedral with my husband in January 2019. The cathedral is beautiful, a lot of people write about it and it's true. I want to draw your attention to the fact that visiting the cathedral is free and there is a Russian audio guide (paid), but visiting the catacombs, treasury, South and North towers is paid. We visited everything, so I wanted to share my experience. Although the North Tower is lower than the South Tower, the view of the city from it is simply magnificent from the observation deck and you can climb it by elevator.

St. Stephen's Cathedral, a symbol of Vienna and the most significant Gothic building in Austria, contains countless treasures, some of which can be seen only during the tour. Such monuments include the red marble tombstone of Emperor Frederick III, made in 1467-1513 by Nicholas Gerhert van Leiden, built by Anton Pilgram around 1500, the cathedral and his work stand for organ in the northern nave (1513), both works have self-portraits of the master. Equally notable are the Gothic altar from Wiener Neustadt (1447), the tombstone of Prince Eugene of Savoy (1754) and, of course, the richly carved pylons inside and outside the cathedral.

The cathedral is beautiful inside and amazing outside. The church is asymmetrical. Since one of the towers at one time fell victim to the austerity regime during construction, and as a result, it was simply covered with a dome. Entrance to the Cathedral is free. If you have time, go up to 2 observation decks: - the first one is located on the South Tower (height 136 meters). To see Vienna from above, you have to overcome more than 300 steps on a spiral staircase. The price of the lift is 4 euros.

Huge. Majestic. Scale. It's all about him, about the main Cathedral of Vienna. Note that it is asymmetrical. Since one of the towers at one time fell victim to the austerity regime during construction, and as a result, it was simply covered with a dome. Entrance to the Cathedral is free. There are two viewing platforms: - the first one is located on the South Tower (height 136 meters). To see Vienna from above, you have to overcome more than 300 steps on a spiral staircase. The price of the lift is 4 euros.

The most amazing thing about it is the stained-glass windows. Or rather, not even they themselves, but those multi-colored reflections that fall from these stained-glass windows on the walls and columns inside the cathedral, it turns out unrealistically beautiful. Outside, the cathedral is also very beautiful, it is made in the Gothic style. Entrance to the cathedral is free. And for 4 euros you can climb to the top of one of the towers, breaking 343 steps. Unfortunately, it was not possible to get to the observation deck or the museum due to lack of time, but this cathedral is not in vain one of the symbols of Vienna.
