The Museum of Contemporary Art is located in a modern building in
Museum Quarter. It is based on a collection of works by collectors Peter and Irena Ludwig. The museum is dedicated to the art of the 20th and 21st centuries. and contemporary art movements are represented here: Viennese Actionism, American Pop Art, Fluxus, Photorealism and New Realism. The museum's collection includes more than 9 thousand works - these are installations, paintings and sculptures, drawings and graphics, photographs, videos, architectural models, furniture and performance objects. Temporary exhibitions are often held within the walls of the museum. The museum building has interactive rooms and its own cinema. Here you can see the works of Günter Brus, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Gerhard Richter, Yoko Ono and many other contemporary artists.
