The Museum of the Vienna State Opera was opened in 2005 in the building of the opera itself, but since 2014 the museum has been moved and attached to the Theater Museum, located near the opera house. The exposition of the museum is dedicated to the Vienna Opera — its history, construction, arrangement, architecture and decoration, as well as here you can learn about the outstanding artists and directors of the opera, its performances. Here are stored posters, photographs, various documents, as well as theatrical costumes and scenery collected throughout the existence of this cultural institution.
