House with golden roof
Museum Goldenes Dahl, The Golden Roof
Austria, Innsbruck
The famous "House with a Golden Roof" has been a symbol of Innsbruck for many centuries and one of the main attractions of the city.
The spectacular balcony of the house in the center of the Old City, decorated with gilded tiles, was intended for the emperor and his wife. From here, the monarchs watched the performances, festive ceremonies and knightly tournaments taking place on the square. Currently, the house houses a museum dedicated to the history of the Habsburg dynasty.
