Graz traces its history back to the Schlossberg Castle, which was built on the mountain in the 12th century. Three times the Turks tried to take the fortress, but all attempts were unsuccessful. And only when the Napoleonic troops captured the city, they were able to blow up the Schlossberg. Now almost nothing remains of the castle. You should definitely climb the Castle Hill for the views of the city, the Clock Tower and just a pleasant walk through the city park. How to get up? - on foot. The steps of the stairs zigzag, along the way wonderful views of the city open up.→
