The Colon Theater is located in the city center near the Buenos Aires Obelisk. It was founded in 1857 and has been in its current Renaissance building since 1908. The concert hall can accommodate 2.5 thousand spectators. This is the main opera and ballet theater of the country, its repertoire is represented by works of world classics.
